Nana Opoku Kwarteng, father of the late dancehall musician Ebony Reigns has revealed that his daughter was verbally abused on several occasions by her manager, Bullet of Rufftown Records. He also noted, his daughter wasn't happy.
Some social media users have descended on the alleged musician, Wendy Shay, said to be a replacement for the late dancehall artiste, Ebony after her first red carpet appearance at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Many Ghanaian have thronged the State House to pay their last respects to Ebony who has been laid in state like a queen. Dressed in a white lace gown, Ebony's body was adorned with her signature 'Maame Hw3' headgear.
Many people trooped to the funeral ceremony to pay their last respect to the late singer, as well as donate some money to support the family her family. Whiles some contributed in various ways, others made cash donations.
Visiting the graveside of Ebony just a day after her burial, one will find a rather calm atmosphere. But is still quite sad and heartbreaking to see the 20-year-old's grave which has now been cast in concrete as shown in a photo.
Ebony’s elder brother, Nana Poku Junior, broke down in uncontrollably tears as he read the tribute by siblings. He was flanked by his sister, Happy Opoku Kwarteng, and some other family members as he read. He wept along the line.
