NDC MP Ras Mubarak's ex-wife reveals why she left him
- NDC MP Ras Mubarak's ex-wife, Rasheeda Adams, has revealed they have been divorced for over a year now.
-Rasheeda says she left the marriage because of Mubarak's abusive behaviour
-Rasheeda's revelation is in response to reports that Mubarak had married a second wife
Despite numerous reports on Sunday that NDC MP for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, had taken a second wife, it has emerged that he rather remarried.
There had been reports that Ras Mubarak had taken a daughter of his colleague, MP for Asawase, Muntaka Mubarak as his second wife.
But reacting to these reports, the lady supposed to be the first wife of the NDC MP Rasheeda Adams said, "a man cannot have a second wife when he does not have a first, and I am not his wife."

According to her, though she and Ras Mubarak were married and have two beautiful children together, the "said marriage has been over for more than a year, as we are now in court over custody matters."

"The marriage ended due to extremely abusive behavior from Mr. Mubarak towards me. We have not lived together for the last 1 year,” she posted on Facebook.

She wished her ex-husband a happy married life while expressing relief at the news of him remarrying.
"I am very happy for him as the father of my children and wish him marital bliss so he can completely forget my existence. I feel nothing but relief," she said.

Rasheeda, YEN.com.gh understands, hails from Tumu in the Upper West Region.
Meanwhile Ras Mubarak has also confirmed the end of his marriage to Rasheeda saying "my wife then, packed out and sued for divorce a few weeks before the 2016 election."
