A Ghanaian medical doctor has become an inspiration after taking to social media to open up about her relocation to the UK to work.
The lady, known on TikTok as @dr.lottie, posted a video where she shared her experience working in the UK National Health Service.

Smiling from ear to ear, the lady admitted she faced early struggles in performing her duties as a doctor.
“The first few weeks when I got to this place, I wanted to pack my bags and go back to Ghana because, oh my goodness, it was tough. It’s been hell. There have been moments where I have been frustrated. I have cried actual tears running down my face. At some point, I questioned myself: Am I really a doctor? How am I here?”

She described her initial working experience as a doctor as tough and recalled crying in certain instances due to the pressure that came with it.
As a doctor in the NHS, she said her new work environment made her question her training and even whether she was good enough for the system.
Despite these challenges, she opened up about her resilience to keep going and thanked her work colleagues for their support.
Over time, she began to adjust to the NHS system and expressed optimism that things could only get better.
At the time of writing the report, the video of the young lady sharing her experience as a doctor in the NHS, which gained a lot of reactions, was captioned:
“Celebrating 3 months of working in the NHS as a doctor in specialty training. God has been good. Impostor syndrome is real. To all my fellow IMG resident doctors, we are going to be alright.”
