I walked from Accra to Tema just to talk for 1 minute on radio – Funny Face recounts his ‘hard life’ to fame
Ghanaian professional comedian, Funny Face, real name Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, has left his fans and followers on social media in tears over the weekend.
YEN.com.gh has sighted a video of Funny Face in which he shares some emotional truths about his life with his fans, and many of them were left in shock and tears.
According to him, he did not have it easy rising to fame.

He revealed the kind of tortuous and risky approach he needed to take on his journey and quest to fame.
Funny Face narrated that for two years continually, he journeyed on foot from Accra to Tema just to get him featured in a radio programme.
Interestingly, his time on the radio programme did not even last more than a minute.

“Will you be bold enough to walk from Accra to Tema for two years just to speak on radio for one minute?”
“Would you be bold just to go crack a joke on radio just for one minute when you know the journey walking from Accra to Tema for two years,” Funny Face wept as he spoke.
This and many other things he said about him got his many fans and followers to sympathize with him with many touching comments.

Funny Face rose to fame following his role in the popular TV series ‘Chorkor Trotro’.
He was called Chemu, and he acted alongside many others including actor Prince Yawson, popularly called Waakye.
Funny Face once received a free gift of a customized Range Rover from football star Emmanuel Adebayo, for reportedly cracking jokes at an event organized by Adebayo without charging him any money.
