Azumah Nelson pulls huge crowd with his iconic limousine

- Azumah Nelson has inspired young Ghanaian boxers with his iconic limousine vehicle in Accra

- The boxing legend on Saturday arrived at the Bukom Boxing Arena in style to encourage young talents

Legendary Ghanaian boxer, Azumah Nelson, on Saturday night arrived at the Bukom Boxing Arena in style amid loud cheers.

The boxer, who climaxed his 60th birthday celebration with five explosive bouts headlined by a 12 round claw between National Super featherweight titleholder, Abraham Osei Bonsu and Patrick Ayi.

According to a Graphic.com.gh report, Azumah Nelson who turned 60 on Thursday arrived at the Boxing Arena relaxing at the back of his famous white stretch limousine vehicle.

The legend in a brief interview told Graphic.com.gh that he purchased the iconic vehicle in the 1990s to inspire Ghanaian sportsmen who didn’t have any hope in the sports sector.

The greatest African boxer upon his arrival was greeted with cheers as men, women and children of all ages gathered around his limousine vehicle which is still in great condition after many years.

The iconic vehicle according to reports was parked at the entrance to attract patrons who trooped in to watch the fights organized by the Azumah Nelson Boxing Promotions.

In all, a total of five enthralling bouts was witnessed with Osei Bonsu and Patrick Ayi clashing while Benjamin Lamptey and Sherif Quaye also squared it up with National Lightweight Champion, Michael Ansah also faced off with Isaac Dowuana in the final eliminator for the Super Featherweight title.

In other clashes, WBA super featherweight champion Wahab Oluwaseun caught up with Togolese Mouibi Sarouna in the International Super featherweight contest, as Emmanuel Danso also had his encounter with Stephen Abbey in a Super Middleweight contest.

Azumah Nelson is also expected to be honored by the World Boxing Council for his contributions to the sport at the event this year.
