Entry requirements

To qualify for an ICM Diploma programme, you are required to have completed secondary education or have an equivalent of the same. These include:

  1. One GCE A-level plus three GCSEs (or equivalents) or 5 GCSEs
  2. A suitable BTEC National Award or a qualification equivalent to one or more of the above

Also, to qualify for the application, your minimum age should be eighteen (18) years). If you are more than 20 years of age and you do not hold any of the above entry qualifications, you can choose to register for a Diploma program provided you have been in full-time employment for at least two years. You should produce a letter from your employer to prove it. Other qualifications are as follows:

  1. To qualify for an ICM Advanced Diploma Programme (NQF Level 6) you need to have completed the ICM Diploma Level of the programme.
  2. To qualify for the ICM Graduate Diploma demands that you first complete ICM Diploma and Advanced Diploma in the same programme.

You can also register for an ICM Post Graduate Diploma if you;

  • Have completed any qualifying ICM Graduate Diploma
  • Own any Level 6 Business or Management Award
  • Have Business Management Degree level qualifications

Mature individuals (above 25 years), who do not have the standard entry requirements will also be considered for the registration if they;

  • Are over the age of 25
  • Have been in employment for 5 or more years. A letter of support this claim will be required from the employer
  • Hold a management or senior supervisory position

Organization of the programmes

  1. Sessions are offered over the weekends
  2. Nationality is considered. Course are offered for people of Ghanaian and foreign nationalities
  3. Levels of courses are diverse. Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses are offered
  4. Time limits are given for each course. It takes 4 to 6 months for each course to complete

Deferral fees

Should you wish to defer any examinations due to unavoidable circumstances, you will be charged £15.00 Pounds Sterling per subject. Therefore, if you are unable to sit for an exam, you should advise ICM in writing, 24 hours before the examination date. Failure to do this will result to the payment of full entry fee. If you are deferring as a result of ill health, you will be required to provide the institution with a copy of medical certificate which should be attached to a completed Examination Entry Form.

Institute of Commercial Management syllabus

Each teaching center at the Institute of Commercial Management is provided with detailed syllabus including a reading list for the subject area. The unit syllabus will define the areas that will be covered for each subject. Your examination questions will be determined by topics and areas detailed for each course unit. How to apply

You will get application forms online. Complete the application form as required and submit it online. Qualified candidates will be contacted through the phone numbers they provided in the application forms. Make sure you give the correct phone number and postal address.

In order to undertake any ICM examination, you will be required to register as a learner member. The learner registration application form can be obtained from the ICM Teaching Center. You need to complete the form and send it to the institute, together with a passport photograph and a learner registration fee.

After receiving your application, the institution will send you a text confirming your learner membership, and it will provide you with your ID number and student ID card. The membership is often valid for one year from the date you registered. If a year ends and you have not completed your studies, you will be required to renew your membership for the subsequent year after paying the relevant fee.
