GNPC scholarship eligibility
Below are the criteria you must meet to apply for the GNPC scholarship.
- Applicant must be a Ghanaian.
- Must have obtained admission to pursue a postgraduate or an undergraduate degree programme from a recognised tertiary institution in Ghana.
- Teachers and lecturers in STEM and WET at technical institutions can also apply.
GNPC scholarship requirements

Undergraduate student
All undergraduate students must present the following documents when applying for the scholarship.

- A scanned copy of a testimonial from your former school
- Academic transcript for continuing students
Postgraduate requirements
Postgraduate candidates must submit their application form through the GNPC scholarship portal. The following are the requirements.
- A scanned copy of the first-degree certificate.
- Scanned copy of the letter of recommendation, both academic and occupational.
- Scanned copies of any additional degree certificates (only for PhD candidates).
- Scanned copy of the admission letter.
- Copy of curriculum vitae.
- Scanned copy of the national service certificate.
- Scanned copy of the academic transcript.
- Passport photo.
- Scanned proof of nationality.

- Visit the GNPC scholarship website.
- Click on Create Account to create an account.
- A form ID or PIN will be generated and sent to your email
- Log in if you already have an account.
- Enter your active phone number, email address, and your full name
- Fill out the GNPC scholarship application form with the correct details
- Submit your application.
GNPC scholarship guidelines
Here are the guidelines for GNPC scholarships for Ghanaian students.
- All applications are to be done online
- The submission of hard copies of the application would not be accepted.
- Applicants who are on any form of scholarship should not apply.
- Applicants with any form of disability must upload a medical certificate stating the level of seriousness of the disability.
- Applicants must provide correct information. Any award based on false information will be withdrawn, and the applicant will be required to refund all the amount paid to him/her or face prosecution.
- Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted and awarded the scholarship.
GNPC scholarship beneficiaries
Those who make it to the shortlisted candidates must undertake postgraduate and undergraduate programs at a local public tertiary institution. Women, too, have a 50% grant set aside for them. This aims to bridge the gender gap in engineering and sciences.
Beneficiaries are mainly Ghanaian locals. You are likely to be an eligible candidate to be awarded a scholarship if you have an interest in studying the following:
- Science, engineering, technology, and mathematics are also known as STEM.
- Special needs education.
- BED programs (Bachelor of Education)
GNPC scholarship for KNUST applicants
GNPC scholarship has benefited many Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology students. The public university is known for its undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering. Criteria for the award of scholarship at KNUST entails the following:
- Ghanaian citizen.
- Pursuing a degree, master's or bachelor's in engineering at the university.
- Critically needy but bright.
- Willingness to give back to the community by applicants.
- Physically challenged and females.
- Students with the university's accepted qualification or WASSCE.
- Have excellent academic performance.
One must enrol at the university for them to apply. Evidence of the parent's or guardians' income is to be provided by the applicant. Letters from three referrals of higher reputation are required. The letters must be sealed independently to this address: The Office of the Provost, College of Engineering, KNUST, Kumasi.
GNPC scholarship deadlines
GNPC Foundation opened its scholarship portal on 7 May 2024 and closed it on 31 May 2024. However, they later extended the deadline to 7 June 2024.
GNPC educational funding
GNPC scholarship benefits include tuition fees, learning materials, housing, and living expenses. It is awarded to undergraduates for four years and postgraduates for two years.
