Shatta Wale reveals meaning of his name ‘Wale’

Shatta Wale, self-proclaimed Dancehall King of Ghana, has revealed the meaning of his name Wale.
In an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale explained the meaning of his first stage name ‘Shatta.
According to that report, Shatta Wale gave the meaning of that name as “SHATTA S-Serious H-Hustlers A-Always T-Trust ❤️ T-The A-Almighty.”

Now, the artiste has given the meaning of the other name, ‘Wale’, which he said means “World Acclaimed Lyrical Entertainer.”
Therefore, Shatta Wale’s name, which most people have thought of to mean “to destroy”, is totally wrong, according to the explanation the artiste himself has given.
Another thing about the meaning of 'Wale' could be that it was a prophetic name he chose, because currently, Shatta Wale is one of Ghana's iconic musicians who has also made headlines on the international music scene.
Shatta Wale re-branded from 'Bandana' to 'Shatta Wale' somewhere in 2012 when he returned to the music scene after a short break.

He made this revelation in an interview with Joy FM on Friday, October 26, 2018, as monitored by YEN.com.gh.
He was in the studios of the Accra-based radio station to talk about his recently launched ‘Reign’ album.
According to the ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker, he is very excited that his album has been rated number six on Billboard Charts, indicating that he has really worked hard over the years and also for his new album.

Shatta Wale also touched on his public proposal to his long-time girlfriend, Shatta Michy.
He debunked rumours and reports that it was a staged act.
According to him, Michy didn’t even know about the proposal before the act was carried out, therefore, anyone saying it was a fake gesture is himself a fake person.
In a related development, Shatta Wale has also said he is getting married to Michy next year, and called on Ghanaians to be in expectation of their wedding.
