Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are cousins – Shatta Wale’s mother
- Shatta Wale’s mother, Madam Evelyn Avemegah, said her son is cousins with Stonebwoy

- Madam Avemegah said she feels very sad anytime the two musicians fight
Shatta Wale’s mother, Madam Avemegah, has revealed that her son and Stonebwoy are cousins.
According to her, the two musicians who have been at each other’s throats in their quest for who should be crowned dancehall king, both come from the same Ahiable family in the Volta Region.
Madam Avemegah reportedly made this revelation in an interview on Peace FM, as gathered by YEN.com.gh on social media.

She added that given their family ties, she always feels sad and pain in the heart anytime Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy fought over their careers.
Shatta Wale’s mother also said sometimes she feels like drawing a cane to lash him for fighting Stonebwoy and other musicians as if Wale were a child.
She further urged her son and Stonebwoy to love each other and come together to grow their music careers and eschew all fights between them.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale is known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah and hails from Ga-Mashie, in the Greater Accra Region, because of the patrilineal practice of the Ga people.
His mother, however, hails from the Volta Region, where Stonebwoy also comes from.
Therefore, the revelation by Shatta Wale’s mother shows that Wale is purported related to Stonebwoy on his mother’s side if it turns out to be true.

The two have been fighting for many years over who deserves to be called dancehall king of Ghana.
Stonebwoy had claimed that he is the best without a competitor, claiming to be lyrically and musically better than Shatta Wale.
Shatta Wale, on the other hand, has claimed supremacy over Stonebwoy, and Ghanaians have given five solid reasons why he is better than Stonebwoy, as earlier published by YEN.com.gh.
