- The prime suspect in the murder of Junior has been arrested
- The suspect has been identified as 20-year-old Tejan Sherif
Police in Philadelphia have arrested the prime suspect in the murder case of a Ghanaian resident, Nana Yaw Opoku aka Junior US, YEN.com.gh can report.
According to multiple online reports sighted by YEN.com.gh, the suspect, Tejan Sheriff who is 20 years old was arrested on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
Sherif has been charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, burglary, robbery, and other related offenses.

Junior US, a friend of dancehall star Shatta Wale, was shot to death on April 18, 2019, in his apartment in Southwest Philadelphia.
Later information YEN.com.gh sighted on social media suggested that Junior's death was case of a robbery.
Junior had reportedly attracted the robbers after posting photos and videos of himself flaunting bundles of dollars on social media.
Reports later surfaced that Junior was set up by some three ladies who helped to get the robbers into his apartment.

The Philadelphia Police Department released a CCTV footage of the before and after scenes of Junior's media.
“At some point, while the females are there, there’s a knock at the door. One of the females opens the door and she’s accompanied by the victim who resides in that apartment.
“The video is rather graphic. It’s clear enough where if you know these individuals or encountered them in the past you would recognize them.
The video will go on to show… the females enter the vehicle of the people that committed the shooting. For that reason, we are classifying them as suspects as well," Captain Sekou Kinebrew of the Philadelphia Police Department was reported by 6abc.com to have explained.

Meanwhile, Junior's mortal remains have been buried at his hometown Antoa Abira in the Ashanti Region after being flown from the US on June 1, 2019.
