Former Black Stars keeper Richard Olele Kingston arrested by police

- Former Black Stars goalkeeper, Richard Kingston, also called Olele, has been arrested by the police

- He was arrested together with 21 other drivers for indiscipline on the road

- The arrest is in accordance with the Police’ War Against Indisciplne (WAI) on the road launched recently

A former goalkeeper of the Ghana Black Stars, Richard Kingston, popularly known as Olele, has been arrested by the police.

The arrest was made at the East Legon tunnel on Thursday, July 25, according to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Citinewsroom.com.

Olele was arrested for indiscipline on the road, together with 21 other drivers who were found guilty.

Also caught in the web was the driver of a v8 with a Commissioner whose identity is not readily available.

The impounded vehicles, including that of Olele, have been sent to the East Legon police station.

18 of the indiscipline drivers have also been processed for the Abeka motor court on Thursday morning for their various offences, according to the reports.

ASP Simon Tenku of the Police Public Affairs Directorate who confirmed the report said most of the drivers implicated today were neglecting the road mappings.

“Today we didn’t get a lot of people driving on the shoulder, most of the drivers were just neglecting the road mapping and using the wrong directions and I am also glad that today we didn’t get a lot of uniform persons to compare to the last time we were here which is an improvement and we are happy about that and so far we have arrest 21 drivers process 18 for court today,” he reportedly said.

YEN.com.gh, however, cannot say if Olele is part of those who are being arraigned before court.

Meanwhile, Olele was part of the technical team which went with the national team to the 2019 AFCON at Egypt.
