NDC primaries: Ras Mubarak blasted after revealing secret behind his loss

- The Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, has revealed that the winner of the NDC polls in his constituency, Dr. Hamza Adam, was assisted with money.

- He explained that someone who calls himself Hamza Abdulaziz supported his opponent's campaign with GHC500,000 leading to his defeat.

- Social media users have however not spared him for his comments and have revealed the main reason he lost.

The member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu constituency, Ras Mubarak, has revealed that delegates were influenced with an amount of GHC500,000.

According to him, the winner of the polls, Dr. Hamza Adam, a lecturer at the University for Development Studies (UDS), was assisted by money shared by one Hamza Abdulaziz, also known as Hamza Tanko.

Per a Mynewsgh.com report, he further disclosed that the motive behind the sharing of the money was simply to unseat him, a development he believes could hurt Ghana’s democratic gains.

Social media users however disagreed with him and angrily descended on him for his comments about his defeat in the elections:

Adenta warned the MP to be careful of his comments.

Tetteh is ready to donate bicycles to him to help him ride to his hometown.

Amuzu argued that Mubarak once bought delegates.

Sultan Gh added that he knows Mubarak's heart is broken.

Pogasty wondered if Mubarak can go back to the delegates in future.

Yeboah also wondered how much Mubarak paid the delegates.

Gilchrist added that Mubarak does not deserve to be a MP in the first place.

In other news, a 15-year-old Junior High School student, Norsi Mawunyefia, has invented a makeshift ferry.

Mawunyefia is a student of the Nkwakubew Presby School and with encouragement from his teacher, Kpodo Gilbert, has already tested his product on the Volta lake.

Mawunyefia revealed that he initially conceived the idea, drew it and began preparations to transform it into reality.
