Bawumia warmly asks Mahama to convert back to Islam

Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed his eagerness to see former president John Dramani Mahama converting to Islam.
According to Daily Guide reports, the vice-president's invitation came after Mahama said an Islamic prayer during the Islamic funeral of the National Chief Imam’s sister at New Fadama.
During the ceremony, when it was the turn of former president Mahama to say a few remarks,he rendered what all Muslims were enjoined to say when the death of a faithful is announced. Innaa Lillahi Wainna Illahi Raajiun, to wit in classic Arabic ‘To God shall we all return.’

However when it was the turn of the Vice-President, he was full of humour, as he still could not believe the former president still had some Islam left in him.
The Vice-President however asked him to join them for congregational prayers otherwise called the Jumaat prayer today for conversion to Islam (Tuuba) which was accepted the assemblage of regional imams and other clerics.
“I hereby invite the former President to join us in the Islamic faith,” a humorous invitation which seeped into the gathering and, of course, had him trying to suppress a smile.

The two politicians shaking hands and smiling created an attractive scene at the solemn religious function at the end of the programme.
Meanwhile, an Islamic Cleric, Mallam Sham-una Uztaz Jibril, has predicted victory for John Mahama in the upcoming 2020 general elections.
According to him, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is spiritually in a comfortable lead.
Mallam Sham-una, who doubles as a numerologist and philosopher, is known for making predictions about elections.
