Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has shed tears as he observed the seventh anniversary of the death of his mother, Mrs Cecilia Gyan Baffour-Mensah (nee Cecilia Amoako).

Our Manifesto: This is what believes in

Mrs Gyan Baffour-Mensah, the mother of Gyan and his elder brother Baffour, a former national team striker himself, died in a ghastly motor accident in Accra November 2012.

Today, November 5, 2019, being exactly seven years since her death, Gyan took to social media to remember her.

Sharing a photo on Instagram, Gyan expressed mixed feelings. While he felt sad for the passing of his mother, he also expressed pride in the fact that he was making his mother proud.
