According to her, she had had a surgery supposedly for delivery and right from there, asked the doctor to put her on IUD.
Many years have gone by and she started feeling funny inside her body.
Stacy said she began feeling ill all the time and was losing weight, but she never got to know what the problem was.
She narrated further that some friends and family members were concerned about her health, with one of them telling her that her symptoms were like those of cancer, but she vehemently rejected that idea.
Willy-nilly, Stacy agreed to go see the doctor as her condition was getting worse.

It was at the consulting room that the doctor asked if she was on any family planning method which she answered in the affirmative.
It was discovered that the IUD that was inserted into her was metallic which was rusting in her body.
The doctor, she said, explained to her that that type of IUD was no longer in use and that was what was causing her woes – she had cervical cancer.
This affected her children’s education as she stopped them from going to school for a whole year.
