Since its manufacture, Veronica Bucket has significantly improved hand-sanitation and general hygienic practices in Ghana and other African countries at large and has been recommended by the Ghana Health Service for hand sanitation.
The invention consists of a wooden stand which holds the bucket, towel, and soap, and a washbasin placed below the spigot to collect the running water.
It is usually used at hospitals and schools to encourage handwashing under running water and its use has become particularly helpful in this era of the COVID-19 pandemic when hand-washing is a crucial way to combat the disease.
