Angel Group of Companies owner, Dr Kwaku Oteng, has revealed that his group employs about 5000 people.
According to Dr Oteng, the 5000 people are those directly employed and on the payroll of his group of companies.
Dr Oteng made the revelation during an interview with James Kata on Pure FM, one of the stations he owns in Kumasi.
The Adonko Bitters owner further disclosed that the amount he pays as salaries to these 5000 workers is around one million Ghanaian cedis.
At least, there are about five thousand people that I pay. Even though it is difficult sometimes, but I always sail through. It is no easy because it is not a small amount. It is about one million Ghana cedis but with God's help, we are able to pay.
There are times it gets tougher making payments. But just when you least expect, God shows a way and debtors come out of the to pay and that’s how we have been managing until now. Sometimes it delays – that’s normal; but at the end of the day everyone gets paid.
Apart from the one million cedis he pays to the 5000 employees, Dr Oteng also listed other expenses he has on people who are not directly employed by his companies but work with him.
Dr Kwaku Oteng's Angel Group is a big conglomerate with business interests in manufacturing, broadcasting (media), construction, education, and hospitality industries.
The most popular of his businesses include Angel Broadcasting Network which operates 16 radio stations. These are: Angel FM Kumasi, Angel FM Accra, Pure FM Kumasi, Cheers FM Sunyani, Angel FM Tamale, and O FM Obuasi, among others.

He owns Angel Educational Complex and Angel Real Estate and Construction in Kumasi as well as Angel Transport, Angel Herbal Products, Abrantie Spot in Accra, and Plus 2 Pub in Kumasi.

That lead to Fobih being invited for a show on Angel FM in Accra and he got signed after an impressive performance.
