Akwaboah's father tells sad story of how he went blind in Holland

Kwadwo Akwaboah, the father of highlife sensation, Akwaboah Jnr. has narrated how he became blind after a spiritual attack.

According to the “Awerekyekyere” singer (who is also a highlife legend), his blindness started ten years ago while living and working in Amsterdam, Holland.

In an interview with TV XYZ, Kwadwo Akwaboah said:

I woke up one day after playing with a band and realised that my right eye had blood spot on it,” he said. “So, I visited my doctor who gave me an eye drop to use. But after using for some time, it didn’t work.”

Akwaboah senior revealed that after treatment in Holland didn’t yield any better result, he relocated to Ghana to try traditional medicine because he believes in it more than the orthodox medicines.

And after visiting herbalists and spiritual men in Ghana, the situation kept deteriorating.

He said he believes his blindness was caused by spiritual forces, and that he has hope that he will see one day.

Meanwhile, Ghana's highest rapper, Sarkodie, has finally opened up on why Shatta Wale described him as poor.

Shatta Wale before making peace with Sarkodie has been slamming the rapper for the past two years.

In his Shatta Wale's rants, the Ayoo hitmaker described the former BET award-winner as "poor."

Now, Sarkodie for the first time in many years has replied Shatta Wale's statement. According to him, Shatta Wale doesn't mean it as such because he was only saying something to push him.

In an interview monitored by YEN.com.gh on Vlad TV, a popular news and celebrity interviews platform owned by a famous American journalist, DJ Vlad, he said:

"He has a different approach to the music industry. He feels controversy sells, he feels it's boring to just have a clean brand".
