Kimathi Rawlings sends emotional messages to mom Nana Konadu on her birthday

Kimathi Rawlings, the only son of the late former president Jerry John Rawlings, popularly known as J.J, has sent a touching birthday message to his mother, Nana Konadu.
He wrote in a tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh that he knows this would not be a normal birthday for her obviously because her husband, J.J, died just five days to her birthday.
Kimathi has thus encouraged the mother to stay strong in order to be strengthened in honouring the memory of their departed hero.
J.J’s son also made a special prayer for the mother that she will live long and healthy for the family, and shared a throwback video of the parents dancing happily together.
He also assured Nana Konadu of his love, as well as the love of his siblings. “Ghana loves you too,” Kimathi added.
His tweet has garnered some responses from Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, Rawlings died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after reportedly suffering from COVID-19.

In a related development, a leading member of the NDC, Stephen Atubiga, has said Akufo-Addo should be blamed for Rawlings’ death.
He gave his reasons in an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, for which reason he thinks Ghanaians should not take President Akufo-Addo’s showy display over Rawlings’ death seriously.
Also, the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has accused Akufo-Addo of hijacking Rawlings’ funeral.
