Veteran Ghanaian actress, Grace Nortey, has complained of being neglected by players in the movie industry, a sector that she devoted her youthful years to.
She said producers and directors she worked with in the past have abandoned her in her old age that she needs them most.
The 83-year-old actress explained that she is not looking forward to receiving money from them, but just someone to show her care.
“It is not about food or money, for that, I have people to provide. It is for someone to also make you happy,” Nortey said in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on 3news.com.
She added that at this point in her life, she feels she has been left alone with her God as no one even picks a phone to call her.
Nevertheless, the veteran actress said she has not regretted paying her dues to Ghana in the movie industry.
She revealed that she sometimes gets offers to star in movies, however, due to her failing health, she is not able to accept them.
Grace Nortey said she is currently battling with a sight problem making it impossible for her to read script.
Meanwhile, in other news, actress Afia Schwarzenegger, has fired her personal blogger because he got a contract with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The blogger, GH Hyper, announced on social media that he had been contracted by the NDC to hype the good works of former president John Mahama from now until the December 2020 election is over.
However, this did not go well with Afia Schwar who has decided to cancel whatever deal he had with the blogger.
Some Ghanaians who commented on this development said this is foolishness on the part of a “bitter” Afia Schwar.
