Election 2020: Achievements of Mahama that may help him win 2020

The choices of most electorates are mostly depended on not just party affiliations like a lot of people do, but also on achievements of the particular candidate.
Former president John Dramani Mahama is one of the presidential candidates of the 2020 general elections.
He is very hopeful that Ghanaians would give him the mandate to lead the country again for four years.
YEN.com.gh has outlined some achievements of former president Mahama that might help him win the 2020 general elections.
1. Roads
The issue of bad road networks in the country has been one the biggest problems Ghanaians have been grappling with.
President Mahama contended that his tenure of office had seen some of the most massive investments in the road sector in the history of the country.
He started projects like the Tema Motorway Roundabout decongestion project, a new bridge from Flower Pot Roundabout on the Spintex Road over the Accra-Tema Motorway to East Legon, Achimota-Ofankor, Awoshie-Pokuase, Sofoline and Tetteh Quarshie-Adenta.
Mahama's government commenced and completed the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, fast-tracked the construction and opening of the Kasoa overhead bridge, completed the Airport Hills/Burma Camp network of roads, as well as the 37-El Wak-Trade Fair road.
His road achievements might push people to vote for him.
2. Construction of health facilities
There were reports that the coronavirus pandemic which has taken the lives of many and infected millions of people had overwhelmed a lot of health facilities.
During former president Mahama's tenure in office, he constructed some health facilities which became useful during the management of the disease.

3. Infrastructural achievements in various Senior High School
The implementation of the New Patriotic Party's free SHS initiative came with its on issues as to how well to make the programme a success.
One thing that really helped with the easy implementation of the free SHS programme is the educational infrastructural achievements of the NDC.
This might convince people to vote for Mahama, which might lead to his possible victory.
In other news, the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama, promised to bring to justice the assailants who murdered the late investigative journalist, Ahmed Suale.
He said his next administration will ensure that the mystery around the death of Suale will be unearthed while those who committed that heinous act are brought to book.
Mahama was speaking at community engagement with the chiefs and people of Wulensi, Northern Region, the hometown of the late Suale, who was murdered in January 2019.
