Thomas Ampem Nyarko, the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman, has shown massive benevolence by paying the medical bills of four patients detained at the Volta River Authority (VRA) Hospital in Akosombo in the Eastern Region.
Adomonline.com reports that the four patients, including new mothers who delivered through cesarean section, were detained at the VRA hospital because they couldn't afford to pay their medical bills.
YEN.com.gh learnt that the Asuogyaman MP, Hon Thomas Ampem Nyarko, charged the constituency secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bright Sikanku to make a total payment of GHC4,356.00 to settle the bills after the plight of the four detained patients came to his attention.

Hon Thomas Ampem Nyarko is the incumbent MP for Asuogyaman in the Eastern Region - he defeated his NPP opponent, Paul Asare Ansah, to retain the seat in the December 7 parliamentary election.
