The former National Women's Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has jabbed JJ Rawlings's wife Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings over the state funeral.
While speaking in an interview on Adom FM and monitored by YEN.com.gh, Anita De Sosoo indicated that Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings had left out the NDC and relatives of Rawlings from the funeral.
She went on to say that even the traditional rulers from the VOlta reign had even been exempted from partaking in the funeral.
Anita De Sosoo said no slot had been provided for the opposition party to play a part in the funeral - something she obviously was not happy about.
She added that she and some NDC faithful had left the funeral and its entire organization to Nana Konadu.
Anita De Sosoo said late former president Rawlings was a national asset so Nana Konadu did not have the right to exempt the family of the ex-president and his party from the organization.
She said Mrs Rawlinhgs was rather supposed to take the back seat and allow the family members of the late former head of state to lead proceedings for her to be told what to do.
The former Women's Organizer of the NDC went on to add that the former president did not die of COVID-19 as was initially reported.
Speaking about the state funeral, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a quite emotional video of former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings crying at the state funeral of her late husband former president Jerry John Rawlings has popped up.
In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Mrs Rawlings was walking alongside her children Zanetor and Kimathi Rawlings when she suddenly stopped and tears started rolling down her cheeks.
Her children, especially Kimathi, immediately stood and held her firmly and started speaking to her to try and be strong.
