Ghanaians are reacting to a list of properties the Director of Communication at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, has acquired with his wife as his eight-year marriage falls apart.
Startling details of Eugene Arhin's assets obtained within four years of serving in Akufo-Addo's government emerged as news broke that his wife, Gloria Assan Arhin, has filed for divorce at the Matrimonial Division of the Accra High Court against him.
The landed properties include 32 apartments at Bubuashie and Tuba, houses at East Legon, AU village, Teshie, and Ada, which Gloria Arhin claims they jointly acquired during their marriage.
Other moveable properties include luxurious cars, including one Ford F150 vehicle, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Lexus, Toyota Tundra, Hyundai Elantra, and others.
Gloria Assan Arhin is also praying the Court to ask her husband to pay her a sum of two million cedis (GH¢2,000,000).
Many Ghanaians are expressing shock at the colossal number of properties acquired by the couple who tied the knot on February 2, 2013.
Reacting in a post on Twitter, Kenneth Ghartey claims that ''at the current rate, the humble GHS 2,000,000 being demanded by Eugene Arhin's estranged wife, will amount to an average take-home monthly salary of a PhD holder appointed at Lecturer level in a Ghanaian public University for 32 years, 7 months.''
According to Ova_Hova, ''Innocent looking unassuming guys commit the most despicable acts. This Eugene Arhin issue no dey shock me oneself.''
Akua_Chivita thinks the Director of Communications at the Presidency should be invited to answer questions about how he obtained his wealth.

''Eugene ARHIN is still walking freely after all that he amassed within 4years. They should invite him.''
@RudolfKwame writes, ''It took Eugene Arhin 4 years in gov't to acquire all these properties, meanwhile, their supporters are only getting t-shirts and weekly airtime of Gh20, yet these same supporters shout the most.
This life no balance oo... Broken heart smiling face with open mouth and tightly-closed eyes.''
@KofiTiger details of Eugene Arhin's properties wouldn't have surfaced if not for his wife's divorce suit.
''So if not for the divorce, Ghana would have never known of Eugene Arhin’s assets. Wow, something is wrong somewhere.''
@CheEsquire writes, ''Since 2016 they’ve not increased your Gh¢ 700 allowance but you’ve come here to defend Eugene Arhin who has acquired 2 separate properties comprising of 16 apartments each in just 4yrs - 32 apartments in 4yrs! My brother my sister who bewitched you?.''
In other news, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that a middle-aged woman and a young man have been filmed by a CCTV camera stealing from a wine shop at Tema Community 9.
The police are yet to confirm the incident and details about the young man and the woman.
But information circulating on social media indicates that the pair are mother and son.
