Ghanaian rapper Lukeman Ekow Baidoo famed as Teephlow, has indicated in a video that fellow rapper Medikal's wealth is not coming from his work as a musician.
While speaking in a radio interview, Teephlow claimed there was no way the flashy lifestyle of rapper Medikal could be said to be coming from his songs.
Teephlow went on to assert that from 2019, many artistes and entertainers in general, have suffered a lot of financial blows due to the outbreak of the dreaded COVID-19.
He added that most artistes from the said years have not cashed in any major financial deal since most shows were cancelled owing to coronavirus.
"This success is not coming from music. The things you are flaunting is not coming from music. If you take Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and a few other people, how many people can say they can buy Range Rover off this music we are currently in?," Teephlow said.
Teephlow went on to add that he was not in any way disrespecting anyone's hustle, but he just wanted the entertainers to be truthful to the younger generation.
"Do not in any way use this means to deceive anybody that this is what is coming from music because it is not true," Teephlow quipped.
When asked how sure he was about the claims he was making, Teephlow indicated that the truth would lie in the comparison between the singer's organic streams and his returns.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Ghanaian rap heavyweights, Medikal and Teephlow, have taken to Twitter to engage in what looks like the next big beef in Ghana's music industry in a long while.
The rappers engaged in a back and forth via posts on Twitter, and took swipes at each other to prove their point at all costs for all to see.
It all started when Medikal tried giving some advice to upcoming rappers about how they can 'blow' by admonishing them not to focus on trying to impress anyone or try to be competitive.
