Eugene Arhin: Alleged mistress sues Gloria for defamation; seeks 3.5m in damages

The alleged mistress of Eugene Arhin, Chantelle Kudjawu, has reportedly filed a suit against Gloria Arhin.

Chantelle has sued the estranged wife of Eugene Arhin for defamation.

In a divorce petition dated February 10, 2021, Gloria Arhin accused Chantelle of engaging in adultery with her husband, Eugene Arhin.

Chantelle has described that accusation by Gloria as being made with "malicious intent".

She is seeking GH¢3.5million in damages as well as a retraction and an unqualified apology.

Meanwhile, Gloria Arhin filed an amended petition at an Accra High Court on Monday, February 15, 2021.

In the amended petition, she has backtracked on several of her earlier claims, including accusations of abuse and property grabbing.

She, however, maintained the call for the court to dissolve the marriage since their relationship was untenable.

She also wanted her husband to pay her GH₵2million, as well as maintain the children, and any other costs that come with them.

In other news, Former President John Dramani Mahama’s popularity in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) appears to be unmatched despite leading the party to two annihilating electoral defeats.

The party’s grassroot is strongly pushing an agenda for the former president to be the party’s flagbearer unopposed in the 2024 general elections.

The grassroot party members have vowed to force the 2020 NDC flagbearer to lead the party into the election even if he showed no interest to contest the general elections again.

“He can’t leave us in the middle of the sea until he leads us to cross it,” a former Asokore Mampong Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) in the Ashanti Region, Nurudeen Hamidan, stated.
