There have been various media reports topping the headlines regarding abuse in marriages leading to the death of spouses.
Social media was awash with reactions from various users who were livid at the deaths of two different women as a result of suffering abuse from their partners.
Concerns about these two cases were that the women should have decided to walk out of the marriage or relationship if they were constantly abused.
The ex-wife of former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Rasheeda Adams took to her social media page to share her ordeal in her alleged abusive marriage.
Rasheeda Adams mentioned how she suffered all forms of abuse from Ras Mubarak within their short marriage.
Her revelations drew a lot of sympathy to her, as most people congratulated her for being a strong woman to have endured all that she allegedly went through.
In reaction, Ras Mubarak also took to his social media page to share his side of the story right from the day he met her till the time after they got divorced.
According to him, claims by his ex-wife were unfounded.
He, however, encouraged others not to pay attention to her, as she was only trying to paint him black to seek attention.
Below are excerpts from his post.
In 5years since Ms. Adams packed and emptied my house, I have never paid attention to any of the issues she’d leveled against me save in court. And it has been so for good reason - the respect I have for my my kids, family and community.
For five or so years now, she has seized every opportunity from unsuspecting and gullible journalists and bloggers to abuse me in mainstream and on social media. I’ve been trolled and called all manner of things by cowards hiding behind phones and computers. It’s never bothered me one bit. I have a tough skin.
And guess what! When she packed out, she didn’t even leave a bowl or glass for drinking water not to talk of a blanket. I returned to Accra on 10th December 2016 to meet a completely empty house. My neighbors said they thought we were moving out of the area, judging by the way the’d striped and taken things out. And for four months, the only time I saw my daughters was when I appeared in court. They won’t even tell me where she’d taken the kids. I didn’t even know where my kids were.
His post has received various reactions as well, as most people were excited he shared his own part of the story.

The other side. Indeed there’s always two sides to a story and even a third. I was told that Honourable forced her to leave work after she delivering a baby to be a housekeeper. Honourable has said his version. Now I know where to pitch the truth as a Judge.
