Grammy 2021: It’s a victory for Nigeria: Davido celebrates Burna Boy and Wizkid

On March 14, 2021, top Nigerian music stars, Burna Boy and Wizkid, won their first-ever Grammy Awards, and their colleague, Davido eventually reacted to the news.
The Nigerian social media space was buzzing with excitement after they wins were announced and it came as no surprise that many people were awaiting a reaction from DMW boss, Davido.
Over time, people had been known to pit the artistes against each other and it is safe to say they are not on the best of terms. However, Davido soon took to social media to react to the good news.
Shortly after Burna and Wizkid’s win was announced, Davido took to his page to tweet an adaptation of his popular slang, e choke.
He wrote:
“Who Dey breeeeeeeeeeeet”

Several hours later, he accompanied his initial post with a tweet saying that their wins were a big victory for Nigeria. He also made sure to congratulate them.
He wrote:
“Whichever way you look at it, this is a victory for Nigeria for the culture and for my people ! Congrats to our winners! Tule Naija! Flag of Nigeria #Grammys #foreverchoke”

We had earlier reported that Burna Boy's Twice As Tall won the Best Global Music Album Category at the Grammy Awards.
It should be noted that this is the second time the Anybody's crooner would be making a shot at the Grammy.
Wizkid also won a Grammy Award for his collaboration with Beyonce and Blue Ivy on Brown Skin Girl. It was awarded the Best Music Video.
