News reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that angry residents of Amanase in Suhum in the Eastern Region have invaded the shrine of the fetish priestess allegedly involved in the ghastly ritual murder of 10-year-old Ishmael Mensah.

Sources close to the development told YEN.com.gh that the irate residents were at the shrine to burn it but for the timely intervention of the police.

According to sources, the residents were in the company of the chief of the town, Osabarima Obengfo Addo Agyekum, who issued a 3-day ultimatum to the Inspector General of Police to arrest the priestess.

“It is only now that we’ve understood the gravity of their activities to the extent of taking a life in the name of giving money to the youth for that matter.
“My children have shown that there is too much fear around,” one of the irate residents was quoted as saying.
“The whole world has heard bad news about Amanase… We need to be angry,” the Assemblyman, Paul Som Abedi, added.

The Ofaakor District Magistrate Court remanded into police custody the two teenagers who allegedly killed the 10-year-old.

Felix Nyarko, 15, and Nicholas King, 18 on Saturday, April 3, reportedly lured and killed the 10-year-old.

Their remand is to allow the police to conduct more investigations into the matter.
“It is hard for me,” the 10-year-old's father stated in a Metro TV interview.

According to him, he knows one of the guys who murdered his son “very well” and that suspect and his child were great friends to the extent that the latter gave the former one of his two bicycles.

“The boy even eats from my house. If someone should tell me this boy will have such intention towards my son, I will never believe it,” he stated.

Abdallah warned that if the suspects are not severely punished, “Kasoa will be chaotic.”
