Anthony Vortia, the lawyer of actress Akuapem Poloo, has opened up about their next move after his client was sentenced.
Following the court's ruling on Friday, April 16, 2021, Akuapem Poloo's lawyer has spoken.
According to him, he will be appealing the court's decision.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, he expressed his frustration over the judge's decision.
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported how Akuapem Poloo was slapped with a 90-day jail term after the court convicted her earlier for 3 charges.
She has been charged on three counts which will run concurrently.
In a news report monitored by YEN.com.gh on TV3, the judge, Her Honour Christina, explained that the court would not temper justice with mercy in order to bring sanity to social media.
According to the TV3 reporter who was at the court, Rosemond Brown broke down upon hearing the sentence and went on her knees to beg the judge but her pleas for mercy were not heard.
The judge reportedly complained about the aggravation of the matter when Akuapem Poloo earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her.
She was convicted for going nude before her son on his birthday and sharing the photos on social media.
When she shared those photos, many people criticised her and warned her to take down those photos.
However, she hit back hard at her critics, saying that it is her page, it is her body, and so she can post whatever she wants.
On Akuapem Poloo's sentence, a video has popped up showing how the actress was taken away from the court premises in the company of a number of police officers.
Dressed in a grey-coloured hoodie Poloo was ushered into a taxi and driven off.
