GES, in a statement, outlined the revised dates and noted that the SHS 3 students will resume their classroom activities from May 5, 2021, like earlier announced.
The SHS 2 Gold track students, on the other hand, are expected to vacate on May 29, 2021, making way for the Green track students who will return to school on June 1, 2021.
Meanwhile, the first-year Green track students will be vacating on June 15, 2021, and Gold track students will vacate on May 4, 2021.
The SHS 1 single-track students, on the other hand, will vacate on June 15, 2021.
Final and second-year students in single track schools will return to school on May 5, 2021, and June 1, 2021, respectively, whereas the first years will go home on July 16, 2021.
The GES has directed all Heads of Schools to take note and to communicate same to staff, students as well parents, in order for them to prepare well.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the Ghana Education Service has issued a circular indicating that final year students in the Senior High Schools are to report to school on May 5.
This circular came when most students were to be reporting to their various schools on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, as earlier announced by the GES.
In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on the GES' official Facebook page, it noted that management has considered a proposal from the Conference of Heads of Assisted Senior Secondary Schools (CHASS) and has revised the academic calendar as follows.
