The story of a former Wesley Girls student and an alumna of UCC, Rachel, being battered by her husband has been making headlines.
The lady, now a mother of two, has been calling for justice after she claimed that her husband, whose name she gave as Stephen Adu, physically assaulted her.
According to her, she quit working for his family business but would have none of it and decided to beat her up.
In a new twist, an insider who claims to know the couple has told the other side of the story.
In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh by one Awareness General, the fight broke up after one of them wanted to have access to the other’s phone.
According to Awareness General, the two had known each other from basic school, and they started a relationship after they completed the university.
A year later, Rachel got pregnant and the two were supported by Stephen’s family to get married.
The phone issue led to a misunderstanding during which Rachel allegedly stabbed the husband who is currently receiving treatment at the hospital because his right arm is falling off.
The post also came with a photo of Stephen in his hospital bed with bandages all over his arms.
