Nakeeyat Celebrates Eid-al-Fitr With Family Of 10-Year-Old Victim Of Kasoa Sakawa Ritual

Winner of Talented Kids 2019, Nakeeyat Draman, has brought some smiles to the family of Ishmael Mensah Abdallah, the 10-year-old victim of the recent 'sakawa' ritual at Kasoa.

Ishmael painfully lost his life when two teens in his vicinity Felix Nyarko and Nicholas Kini allegedly cubbed him as part of a supposed ritual to make money.

The young boy was laid to rest, in line with Islamic customs, a few days after the incident which occurred in early April.

Weeks after, Nakeeyat visited the family on Thursday, May 13, 2021, as Muslims around the world celebrated Eid-al-Fitr.

In photos from her visit sighted YEN.com.gh, Nakeeyat, a Muslim herself, was seen dressed in a green outfit with a white hijab.

In some of the photos, Nakeeyat embraced Ishmael's mother, Sahadatu Abdallah.The young poet also posed with others.

Nakeeyat went with food for the family to celebrate their Eid.

Posting the photos on her Instagram page, Nakeeyat had indicated that she had promised to celebrate Eid with the family.

"Sharing is caring, this is how my team and I are celebrating the Sallah. We promised Ismael’s mum we will celebrate our sallah at their place at Kasoa and olalaa. May Allah bless us all ❤️❤️❤️," she said.
