The Church of Pentecost undertakes project to plant 1 million trees in 2 months

The Church of Pentecost (COP), led by the chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has decided to undertake a rigorous tree-planting project that will see the planting of one million trees across the country.
Graphic.com.gh reports that this exercise forms part of an Environmental Care Campaign that the church is undertaking over a five-year period under the theme, 'Possessing the Nations.'
In addition, the project is being embarked on in partnership with the Forestry Commission which is under the auspices of the Government of Ghana.
It is reported that the beginning of the project is scheduled for May 29, 2021, when 50,000 trees will be planted by the Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) across the country.
The next phase of the exercise will kick off on June 5, when 100,000 trees would be planted by the Evangelism Ministry across the nation, followed by another effort by the pastorate, Women’s Ministry & Children’s Ministry which would take turns to plant 500,000 seedlings on Friday, June 11, 2021.
The project would be climaxed on June 12, 2021, with the Youth Ministry planting 350,000 seedlings nationwide.
Meanwhile, an elder of the Church of Pentecost by the name Prince Amoah, has built and donated a huge ultra-modern church auditorium to the Christian organization.
In a post made on the official Twitter handle of the church, it is indicated that the huge structure was put up at the Nkwanta Assembly in the Sefwi Bekwai Area of the church.
In addition to the auditorium, elder Prince Amoah also put up a beautiful place of residence for any District Pastor who would be posted to the location.
