Veteran highlife musician, Adane Best, has advised Ghanaian celebrities against flaunting material wealth on social media.

Adane Best believes that practice is childish and not necessary at all.

He made this known in an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh while discussing the impact of COVID-19 on his career and Ghanaian music in general.

Adane Best revealed that the pandemic has had an adverse effect on his career as he has to put everything on hold.

He disclosed that he has seven songs ready to be released in 2020, however, the COVID situation made it impossible to release the songs and to promote them.

To him, though the pandemic has brought negative effects, the lessons are clear for all, including Ghanaian celebrities, to learn.

He explained that the pandemic has taught real lessons in investing rather than spending lavishly and displaying one’s means of life on social media.

Though the pandemic has caused harm, it should teach everybody planning for the future is better than flaunting material things online,” Adane Best said.

He noted that some of the celebrities even still rent apartments but would still want to show off on social media.

Adane Best is one of Ghana's best hitmakers right from the 1990s till now with over 200 songs to his credit.

Some of his popular songs include Gyatabi, Maafio, Mama Mia, Zamunyanya, Ceci Mami, Kaafo Don, just to mention a few.
