A Neurosurgeon at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Hadi Mohammed Abdallah, has revealed regularly knocking children in the head can affect their brain.
Dr. Abdallah added that the ability of the children's brain to function intellectually is thus affected.
In a report filed by StarrNews, Dr. Abdallah said the repeated concussions on a young child’s head can cause damage which can lead to lower intelligence.
“Continuous knocking of the head of young people can affect their IQ and can result in brain injury. Your brain is protected from colliding with your skull by the meninges, if you bash it into something hard enough, that protection won’t be enough,” he said.
He therefore threw a note of caution to those who stay on their phones for longer hours saying, being on the phone for longer hours may affect ones health.
“I will advise that, don’t put the phone on the ear rather use a headset or earpiece for longer calls. The phone produces some radiations when it gets heated and that will affect your health,” Dr Abdallah said.
In other news, Uncle Ebo Whyte, the director and lead writer at Roverman Productions, has revealed that he got married at the age of 29 as a virgin but he was actually far from being chaste.
In a narration sighted by YEN.com.gh on his verified Facebook handle, Uncle Ebo indicated that he had other sexual habits earlier on in life only that he had no opportunity to express it to the fullest.
He also mentioned that his view about sleeping with a woman was that it was just a piece of cake but after getting married, he realized that a lot needed to be learned and applied to make it work.
