A Nigerian community has caused quite a stir on social media following what they did to a man who stole from them.
The undisclosed community, according to @El__abdool on Twitter, gave the thief a nice meal and chilled drinks and went on to make him clean their drainages.
The elders of the locality then sat the man down and cautioned him against a repeat of such criminality.
@El__abdool shared an image of the man as he cleared the drainages. The incident came to many on social media as a huge shock as it negates the ugly trend of jungle justice people mete to suspected criminals when they are caught.
Many others however argued that making the man clean the drainage was still a form of jungle justice.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh previously reported that a lady got cash gift, refrigerator and food items after she was humiliated for stealing.
The alleged theft, YEN.com.gh learnt, happened at the Ndogpassi markets market in Douala. Moved by pity for the woman, Cameroonian blogger, N’zui Manto Officiel kicked off a social media campaign to raise money and consequently establish the lady.
The efforts yielded many results which the French-speaking blogger would go on to post on Facebook, Tori reported.
