Popular media personality, Captain Smart, has delivered his first words after joining Media General officially on June 1, 2021.
Speaking on the TV3 New Day show, Captain Smart said he is determined to stay with Media General for as long as possible.
Asked why he chose Media General, he responded that the group is the general of all media organisations in Ghana, indicating that it would be every media person’s dream to work with the group.
Captain Smart added that joining Media General also means an increase in status for him because, from Captain, he has graduated to a General.

He asked Ghanaians to expect fireworks from him on Onua from Monday to Friday, promising that there would be shows, including Onua Nkomo. Captain Smart also revealed that something big will happen on Friday.
His comments have pulled massive reactions from social media users with some being against him.

Meanwhile, Captain Smart was suspended from Angel FM/TV following an issue he had with the management.
In an earlier publication by YEN.com.gh, Captain Smart explained what led to his suspension.
He revealed that the owner of the station, Dr Kwaku Oteng, said in a conversation that he had been told that he (Captain) had insulted President Nana Akufo-Addo, his vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and Alan Kyerematen.
The hullaballoo increased when Captain Smart tendered in his resignation to the management of Angel Broadcasting Network.
