In an interview with Accra-based 3 FM, Akosua, who is married with kids to Prophet Daniel Asamoah-Larbi of the House of God International Prayer Ministry, said she met the unnamed young man when she went to buy fuel dressed in jeans and T-Shirt with a cap to match.

Akosua, who is 57, but looks younger than her age, said the man approached her and called her “Sweetie”.

“He then asked for my number and I didn’t hesitate because for a moment I thought he knew who I was and I usually do not have any problem giving my number out to people because it could be for any reason.”

She said the young man called after about two hours and introduced himself as the guy from the fuel station.

The popular singer said her children were making noise in the background at the time, so the young man asked whether they were her siblings.

“I told him they were my children but he thought I was kidding so he thought I was pulling his legs.”

She said the guy then told her that he was 25 and that he liked her and had been thinking about her since he met her hours earlier.

“I asked him if he knew who I was but he didn’t so I had to introduce myself as Akosua Agyepong but surprisingly that did not put him off because he still insisted on taking me out which I thought was interesting and funny.

“I told him to call me back in 30 minutes and I realised he called a couple of times after but I didn’t answer my phone”, she said.
