Fiifi Boafo gets appointment at COCOBOD

The wind of change that swept into Ghana with the inauguration of President Nana Akufo-Addo as president in January has hit Fiifi Boafo, the morning show host of Accra-based Oman FM.

Fiifi Boafo has temporarily quit his job at Oman FM for a new appointment at Ghana COCOBOD, YEN.com.gh understands.

He has reportedly been appointed the manager in charge of the CEO's office at the company.

His appointment takes effect immediately.

Oman FM is said to have granted Boafo years of leave to enable him take up the COCOBOD job.

Oman FM was one of the major platforms the New Patriotic Party (NPP) used to rally its supporters and propagate its messages ahead of the 2016 elections.

Boafo's top appointment is an indication that the new government appreciates his contribution to the NPP's victory.

The broadcaster worked with Oman FM for about 10 years before leaving for COCOBOD.
