Day 2 of the maiden Accra Independent Social Media Week (SMWiAccra) set the stage by giving participants an introduction in potential career possibilities in the digital profession, and social media best practices.

That done, Day 3 sought to give participants a more in-depth look into social media, what the media will look like in times to come, and what some successful startups in Ghana have done to get to where they are.

First on the card was a presentation dubbed "Twitter Master Class", by representatives of Ad Dynamo, Twitter's advertising sales partner in Africa who were represented by Phil Coetzer and Erryn Gracey.

Just as the title implies, the presentation sought to give participants more best practices, ideas, and tips on better utilizing what is the ever powerful platform that is Twitter.

Next up was a session titled "The Future of Media", a session that saw several individuals like Gary Al-Smith (internationally recognized broadcast journalist with the BBC), and Mic Fox (Director of Emmis Communications).

This session sought to give more information about what the media landscape may look like in the near future. A glance through the following tweets can give readers a gist of what was said in session...which is mobile.

This was followed by the session titled "The Ghana case study", where presentations touched on what some successful startups have done to get to their current state.

In this session, presentations were given by Kajsa Hallberg Adu Phd (Academic Writing lecturer at Ashesi University College) OmgVoice, and Yen.com.gh... Yes, Yen too had a chance to tell some of its own success stories.

To wrap this up, the final session was one sponsored by Vodafone and titled "Women in Business", that saw the likes of Anita Erskin, and Angela Mensah-Poku (among others) speak. Check out tweets below concerning the session.
