Nana Agradaa’s alleged sister has slammed Ghanaians who are seemingly happy over her imprisonment and shared details of her current condition at the Nsawam Prison.

Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, was jailed for fifteen years for fraud by an Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

She was convicted on two counts of defrauding by false pretences and one count of charlatanic advertisement concerning a 2022 church service.

Nana Agradaa allegedly received money from church members with a promise to double it, only to turn them away empty-handed.

She was arrested and finally convicted after a three-year trial.

Nana Agradaa's imprisonment sparked mixed reactions on social media. Many Ghanaians jubilated over her incarceration due to facing multiple accusations of swindling others, while her church members and supporters claimed she had been unfairly targeted.

Nana Agradaa’s sister speaks about jail term

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on the TikTok page Koforidua Flowers, a woman claiming to be Nana Agradaa’s sister addressed her current jail term.

She argued that despite many people celebrating over Nana Agradaa’s imprisonment because they think that she’s suffering in jail, she is actually doing very well.

"People observing from afar think that she's going through a lot, but those of us who know her and her can-do spirit know that while many think she's suffering, she is completely ok in prison,” she said.

Nana Agradaa’s sister added that many of those criticising the jailed preacher would not survive if they were placed in her shoes.

“Many people would not be able to handle what she's going through, but I believe that my sister, by God's grace, would complete her sentence and come back stronger than ever. I believe this would be a lesson to her,” she added.

Ghana Prisons denies Agradaa health rumours

Following Nana Agradaa's imprisonment, rumours emerged on social media alleging that she had fallen ill.

The viral rumours appeared in TikTok videos that alleged that the Heaven Way Champions founder was seriously ill.

In a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Deputy Director of Prisons, Janet Asabea, the Ghana Prisons Service attempted to set the record straight regarding Nana Agradaa's health.

The statement reiterated that the rumours were false and contrived by social media users seeking relevance.

Diamond Appiah details Nana Agradaa's prison conduct

Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that actress and musician turned entrepreneur Diamond Appiah shared details about Nana Agradaa's conduct at the Nsawam Prison.

In a social media post, she debunked claims that Nana Agradaa was unwell and said her behaviour since being jailed has been very calm.
