After Tory Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion last year, prosecutors in Los Angeles are asking the judge to sentence him to 13 years in jail, claiming that he "waged a campaign to humiliate and re-traumatize the victim."

He was found guilty in December 2022 on three felony counts related to the 2020 incident in which the rapper shot Megan in the foot following a pool party in the Hollywood Hills,

According to Billboard, Prosecutors said in a sentencing memo submitted on Tuesday, June 6, that a sentence of less than 13 years would "endanger public safety" and "not be in the interest of justice."

They concluded by citing the shooting and what they claim happened next: "a campaign to humiliate and re-traumatize the victim."

“The defendant actively invited harassment of the victim by spreading misinformation to his large following in an effort to galvanize the public against the victim and even the prosecution team without any regard to the dangers it posed... The defendant has weaponized misinformation to his large following to such a degree that it has left a lasting traumatic impact on the victim.”
