Maali preserves Shatta Wale's roses gift

Shatta Wale’s baby mama, Maali, warmed hearts online after she shared a video on Instagram showing how she carefully preserved the bouquet of roses the dancehall star gifted her at the airport.

Before proceeding to show the steps on how to preserve her roses, she put on a Shaxi-branded apron. Shaxi is Shatta Wale's ride-hailing service located in Ghana. She flaunted her natural beauty as she wore no makeup. She rocked a blonde frontal lace wig.

In the video, Maali was seen unwrapping the bouquet and gently removing each rose from the green base that held them together.

She then prepared two white vases by filling them with clean water and adding a tablespoon of Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar to keep the flowers fresh.

With Daddy Lumba’s legendary song Bla Bla Bla playing in the background, she delicately trimmed the stems and plucked off any withered petals before arranging the well-groomed roses beautifully in the vases.

After completing the task, Maali poured herself a glass of red wine and read the sweet note Shatta Wale had penned in the card that came with the flowers, a perfect ending to her romantic gesture.

Reactions to Maali's rose preservation technique

Shatta Wale's fanbase, known as SM4LYF, thronged the comment section to hail Maali and to express how much they loved her.

The fan drew a comparison between Maali and Davido’s wife, Chioma Adeleke, suggesting Maali was trying too hard to show off.

The video of the moment, which went viral, sparked mixed reactions online, while some admired the public display of affection, others found Maali’s actions unnecessary.
