In a poignant interview with blogger Zionfelix that has recently surfaced, Korkor Addo reflected on her deeply emotional journey toward motherhood.
In a moving video that went viral, she detailed the countless sleepless nights filled with tears over her longing to conceive.
Korkor recounted her experience of asking her husband to consider marrying a second wife in hopes of starting a family.
After years of visiting over ten fertility specialists in the United States, each delivering the same frustrating news—that everything was normal, she felt compelled to seek alternative solutions for their childlessness.
"I have been married for sixteen years to my wonderful husband, gospel musician Nii Addo, who has achieved remarkable success in his career," she shared. "
We have always enjoyed our lives together and would often travel back to Ghana from our home in Ohio for family vacations. After three years of marriage, we thought it would happen naturally, but as the years rolled on, the sadness grew. "
"For eight long years, I cried, yet my husband always provided comfort and love. My in-laws were exceptionally supportive, and my own family didn’t apply any pressure, making things a bit easier."

Korkor Addo considers a polygamous marriage
She personally described the societal expectation that comes with marriage, the idea that having children is part of the package.
After significant deliberation, she finally suggested to her husband that he should consider taking a second wife.
"He turned down my request, grounding his decision in his religious beliefs, despite my willingness to discuss this with our pastors. All I wanted was for him to experience the joy of fatherhood."

Korkor expressed immense gratitude for her husband's understanding nature, as he steadfastly refused the idea of polygamy.
Eventually, they visited numerous hospitals, all of which confirmed that both were in good health, fueling Korkor’s frustration even further.
Their fortunes changed when a client of Korkor's introduced them to a reputed fertility specialist in Accra, a connection that ultimately led to the realisation of her dream to become a mother.
