The Colombian-American actress, known for her role in the popular sitcom "Modern Family," is celebrating her 51st birthday in Italy with friends.
However, her husband, Joe, and her wedding ring are absent.
Sources close to the couple revealed that the decision to part ways has been on the horizon for some time now.
Sofia and Joe have reportedly been growing apart, prompting them to distance themselves from each other and contemplate their future.
Their last public appearance was last month in Hoboken, N.J., where Vergara visited Manganiello, 46, on the set of his new project "Nonnas," which also stars Vince Vaughn.
