Evangelist Papa Shee has shared new details about the demise of his mentor, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.

In an interview with renowned media personality Andy Dosty on Joy Prime TV's 'PrimeTime' show on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the former highlife musician shared that he received a revelation about his mentor, which spelt bad news, a few days before his death.
He noted that he decided against confiding in a friend about what God had shown him about Daddy Lumba, as he felt the matter did not concern him.

He said:
"I always come to the Adom FM studios to speak on Thursdays. On Wednesday, God revealed many things to me. I almost shared what I saw when I visited a friend's office after leaving Adom FM studios, but I stopped after I realised it did not concern him."
Papa Shee, who was a former mentee of the late Daddy Lumba, noted that he had previously received similar revelations about the demise of some individuals, which had come to pass on multiple occasions.
The evangelist stated that he had been praying for his late mentor from his time in the US to his return to Ghana.
Papa Shee added that he received the revelation about Daddy Lumba from God during his regular prayer sessions.
He said:
"I had wanted to see my friend because I had experienced similar things in the past. A few individuals who know us and I are all witnesses because I had been praying for [Daddy Lumba] for a long time. I was praying for him when I was in the US.

"When I returned to Ghana, I was still praying for him. If you pray for someone, God reveals many things about the person to you. I saw that something was going to happen."
Ama Nsroma speaks on Papa Shee's revelation
Speaking to YEN.com.gh in an interview, Ama Nsroma, counsellor and head of the Nsroma Consult, shared her thoughts on Papa Shee's revelation before Daddy Lumba's demise and whether he should have confided in him.
She said:
"If he truly sensed something spiritually, I feel he should have lovingly shared it with his mentor. Sometimes, opening up can make a difference, even if the outcome rests with God."

Daddy Lumba's demise and one-week celebration
Daddy Lumba died at 60 on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from a short illness while he was on admission at the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, Accra, for medical treatment.

The legendary highlife musician's demise sent the nation into a state of mourning, with many prominent personalities visiting his East Legon residence to commiserate with his family and sign the book of condolences.
A Candle night vigil was held at the Black Stars Square in Accra on Saturday, August 2, 2025, to honour Daddy Lumba's memory and celebrate his legacy.
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, a one-week celebration event was held, with prominent personalities, including former President Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Sarkodie and many others in attendance.
Lumba's second son visits his radio station
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba's second son visited his father's radio station after travelling to Ghana for his one-week celebration.
In a video, Darren Fosu and his brother, Calvin Kwadwo Fosu, were seen inside a studio at the DLFM studios in Accra, with many netizens reacting.
