Ghanaian musician Jackline Acheampong, popularly known as Gyakie, has revived the 90s fashion trend as she promotes her debut album.

The Forever hitmaker is the daughter of legendary Ghanaian musician Nana Acheampong, formerly of the Lumba Brothers, with the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly called Daddy Lumba.

Following the launch of her star-studded maiden album, singer Gyakie, a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has taken to her official social media pages to engage with her fans while rocking elegant outfits.

For her latest post, the fashionista looked sporty in a blue oversized t-shirt and stylish palazzo wide-leg distressed jeans for her new photoshoot.

Gyakie looked effortlessly chic in a long, centre-parted curly hairstyle, which made her look like the beauty goddess that she is.

The Afro-fusion star accessorised her look with a simple three-tier silver necklace and stud earrings.

Gyakie looked elegant in heavy makeup with glossy lipstick to complement her natural beauty.

Spotify names Gyakie as its ambassador

Ghanaian R&B singer Gyakie was named as Spotify’s EQUAL Africa Ambassador for September 2025 for the second time.

The EQUAL Africa programme has served as a platform for promoting talented and unique female musicians across the continent.

The KNUST business school graduate was featured on the platform when her song Forever became a global hit.

Gyakie makes Forbes 30 under 30 ranking

In June 2025, singer Gyakie was listed among Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 awardees. She was named as one of the continent’s sharpest young leaders with her artistry and deep musical roots due to her musical background.
