Controversial South Sudanese tycoon Lawrence Lual Malong Yor Jnr, commonly known as the Young Tycoon, has set tongues wagging across social media after flaunting his money.
Malong sleeping on dollars
Malong recently shared a video where he was seen calmly sleeping on bundles of US dollars while giving thanks to his God.
In the now-viral TikTok video, Malong appeared to be reclining on a bed of cash, which was meticulously spread out on the floor around him.

"Thank you lord thank you brotherhood for my helping heart#sudan," he captioned the video.
The ostentatious display quickly captured the attention of viewers, who watched in awe as the self-proclaimed "Young Tycoon" flaunted his immense wealth.
The video took a surprising turn when Lual Malong made a series of announcements regarding his intentions with the money.
With a nonchalant tone, he declared,
What does Malong do with his money?
"This $1 million (KSh 148 million) I give to my Lord Jesus Christ, $10 million (KSh 1.5 billion) I give to Red Cross. I give to my lord Jesus Christ."
"This $3 million (KSh 444 million) I give to the children to build a school so I give to my Jesus Christ, so I don't care what you say," he added.
The extravagant display of wealth and Lual Malong's subsequent declarations have generated widespread debate and commentary across various social media platforms.
" I am very rich; I don't have a problem. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, lord. I don't have a problem. You can see millions of dollars," he says.
Lual Malong, a well-known figure in South Sudan, has made headlines in the past for his lavish lifestyle and controversial statements.
His latest video has added fuel to the ongoing discussion surrounding wealth, privilege, and philanthropy in the region.
Lual purchases helicopter
Earlier, in a video shared on his TikTok page, the flashy businessman posted a multimillion-dollar luxury helicopter in a factory setting, which he said was built according to his specifications.
The 'Young Tycoon', as he likes to refer to himself, could be seen showcasing both the interior and exteriors of the sleek AugustaWestland AW109 GrandNew helicopter.
"This chopper is built based on my specifications. I know the weather in South Sudan and so I want a helicopter that will be flying me from Juba to Kapoeta, Juba to Yambio and Unity Estate," said Lual.
The chopper boasts an elegant design complete with top-notch features, the epitome of luxury aviation for the businessman known for his boastful talk and flaunting expensive accessories.
