Man complains about pedestrians not using footbridge

While citing numerous cases of road carnage that have been reported in the recent past, the man called on the Ghana Police Service and the transport authorities to conduct a spot check with a view to understanding what is causing this behaviour and, thereafter, initiate a crackdown where necessary.

In his words:

"Nobody is using the footbridge. Look at the staircase; nobody is using it. But look at the road itself... people are waiting, hoping a car will stop so they can cross."

He concluded by lamenting that when inevitable accidents occur, people will be quick to blame external factors rather than their own negligence.

He continued:

"So, the Ghana Police Service, or whoever is in charge of roads and transport, they should please help us and investigate why people are not using the footbridge. Because when an accident happens, we will be quick to blame others."

"Please, it's jaywalking. Our people get mental problems, though. I don't get why they are even crossing under the footbridge."

Lady complains about the Adenta Footbridge design

YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that a Ghanaian lady made a video complaining bitterly about the architectural design of the Adenta footbridge.

The lady stood on the bridge and captured it in the video, and proceeded to lament about how its design was inhibiting smooth daily commuting.

The footbridge has a lengthy and sloppy zigzag design with no staircase to accommodate the disabled and make it accessible to them.
